1)go to walmart
2)buy an xbox
3)swap the insides
4)return xbox.

gutswap, i dont even know how to open it up, i saw the modder do it to mod our xbox's probably should get him to do it for me

Step 1

Go to your local walmart and buy a new xbox , just the arcade will work since ull keep all ur accs.


Step 2

Go back how , open up ur xbox and the new one , put the old xbox insides with the new cases and old cases in the new.


Go up to about 6:56 into the video stop at the RF modulator part. at that point just follow the rest down here

Step 3

Make sure you switch the serial number by the usbs from the new xbox to the old one (guts) and in the bottom part there is another serial , take that one out ...no need to put in the other one.

Step 4

Also make sure the power cables are the same , if you want change controllers and cables too if u want everything new. Or from inside keep a sata or power cable if u need from drive , or fans.


Step 5

Now put everything back , take your recepit and go back to the store , in customer service theyll ask u why u returning it , just say you dont want it , u dont like i , or if u want just keep the sata cable from the drive , so the xbox will get red light and its broken.

step 6

They will call a person from electronics who has no idea what an xbox is since mostly is old people who got no training at all , and ift someone who knows just tell them it was like that when u got home , noone will argue with u the customer is always right.

step 7

Walk out of the store with your money back and a brand new xbox.

Remember if you are going to gutswap victor go somewhere that is full of idiots.
Walmart would be easier to do this at then bestbuy/futureshop
Bestbuy/Futureshop do not sell returned consoles usually, they ship them back to Microsoft.
Walmart does the same, but if they are out of stock they will usually just put it back on the shelf to resell.
And of course Walmart has the old guy working at electronics where as Futureshop/Bestbuy probably have someone that at least knows something about an xbox.

Also if you registered your xbox to your account already, people have said that they were still able to get "repairs" as of yesterday night. Guess they update the xbox live stuff afterwards not on the day of the banwave

so i'm going back to gMODZ to gutswap and re mod my new xbox for the awesome price for $30

going tonight to do the re modding and gutswapping btw if anyone wants to come mod and contact me before i go at 6pm

NEW BATCH OF 360S NOT MODABLE YET

360s manufactured after August 8th of this year have a 50/50 chance of getting the new Lite-On drive which can not be modded yet. There is no way to physically tell if you have the new drive until we try to flash it. This does not apply to refurbished 360s being returned from M$. Units manufactuered in Sept of this year can not be flashed yet.

okay so i just got back from gmodz and i picked up an arcade and gutswapped at gmodz for free since i waited a while due to their computer crashing and being unable to mod me to 1.6 so i'll have to go back but its okay since i swapped, jsut tested out my system to maek sure i can go on live and it seems that i'm good BUT i can't find my old account so i'll have to figure that one out
